About the A1Z26 Cipher
A1Z26 is the alphabet as a number line: A=1, B=2, all the way to Z=26. It appears constantly in puzzle hunts, escape rooms, geocaches and children's secret codes because anyone can learn the rule in ten seconds.
Type a message and watch it become a sequence of numbers, or paste numbers separated by spaces or commas and read the hidden word. Anything outside the 1–26 range raises a clear error pointing at the offending value.
How to use it
- 1Type letters to get their A1Z26 numbers.
- 2Or paste numbers like "8 5 12 12 15" to decode them.
- 3Copy whichever direction you need.
