Privacy Policy
Effective date:
CaseWren is private by design: your content is processed on your device and we collect none of it. This page spells out exactly what that means.
No uploads, no servers
CaseWren tools run entirely in your browser. The text, images and files you process never leave your device — you can verify this anytime in your browser's network inspector. Files you "upload" (for example a .txt file) are read locally by your browser and are never transmitted.
Minimal analytics, no content collection
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which tools are popular — page paths and approximate region only. The text you paste into a tool is never sent anywhere, analytics included: processing runs locally in your browser. GA sets its own _ga cookies and receives standard device data; you can block it with any content blocker or Google’s opt-out add-on and every tool keeps working.
Cookies
CaseWren itself sets no cookies. Your language preference and tool options are stored in your browser's localStorage so the site remembers them between visits — this data never leaves your device. The only cookies on this site are Google Analytics' _ga cookies (see the analytics section above).
Hosting logs
Like any website, our static hosting provider may keep standard server logs (IP address, browser type, requested pages) for security and operations. We do not access, combine or share these logs for marketing purposes.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will be called out on the home page.
