About the APA Citation Generator
APA style is a hundred tiny rules about author initials, ampersands, italic volumes and DOI formatting - easy to get almost-right. Fill in the fields for a journal article, book or web page and this generator assembles a rule-correct APA 7th edition reference entry, with the matching in-text citation alongside.
Author names are flexible: enter "First Last" or "Last, First" (one per line or separated by semicolons) and they are converted to APA "Last, F. M." order automatically, with the ampersand placed before the final author and "et al." applied in in-text citations of three or more.
