Is the APA output 6th or 7th edition?

APA 7th edition: DOIs are rendered as https://doi.org/ links, up to 20 authors are listed (in-text switches to et al. at 3+), and book entries no longer include the publisher location.

How are italics handled when I copy?

The preview shows true italics. The copied reference is plain text without markup, so it pastes cleanly anywhere — re-apply italics to the journal or book title in your word processor (all three styles still require them).

Can I cite sources with no author or no date?

Yes - leave the author field empty and the title leads the entry; leave the year empty and (n.d.) is inserted, exactly as APA and Chicago prescribe (MLA simply omits the date element).
