About the One Sentence Per Line

Sentence-per-line is a beloved trick of technical writers and translators. With one sentence on each line, overlong constructions stand out by length alone, diff tools show exactly which sentence changed between drafts, and CAT tools receive perfectly segmented input.

Paste any prose and it is re-broken after every . ! ? or …, with each sentence trimmed and placed on its own line. Existing line breaks are normalized first, so wrapped PDF text is untangled before splitting.

How to use it

  1. 1Paste a paragraph or a whole document.
  2. 2Sentences are split onto individual lines automatically.
  3. 3Copy the result for proofreading, translation or version control.
